According to the Turn Off The Red Light website the campaign has recruited fifteen ‘male advocates’:
Seven are representatives of organisations already stated to be involved in running the campaign: David Begg, ICTU, Jack O’Connor, SIPTU, Eamon Devoy, TEEU, Liam Doran, INMO, John Cunningham, businessman and ICI chair, Fergus Finley, CEO Barnados, Diarmaid O Corrbui, chair of Ruhama.
Three are only listed by name, so it is not entirely clear who they are: Peter Sutherland, Peter Sheridan, Colm Dempsey.
That leaves Alan Gilsenan, film maker, Stewart Kenny, (ex Paddy Power), Geoffrey Shannon, Barrister, Christy Moore, singer, and Tony Bates, (Director of Headstrong).
We would urge you to contact these male advocates and ask them to visit the Turn Off the Blue Light website and reconsider their support of Turn Off the Red Light.
